§ 02 · Reading the full reference

The base number gives the size. The suffixes decide whether the bearing fits your machine.

A complete NSK reference carries the series and bore, the seal or shield type, the internal clearance and the precision class. Repair lists often keep only the first block — so two bearings with the same envelope can behave very differently in the same housing.

§ 03 · Bearing positions in the machine

List each bearing by its position in the machine, and quantities stop going wrong.

Drive end and non-drive end mixed on one line is a common source of wrong quantities. Open a marker to see which NSK bearing types usually sit at that position.
